Professional Wedding Invitation Printing for Your Own Design

Already have your wedding invitation design ready? Paperlust offers professional wedding invitation printing for couples and designers who have created their own artwork. Whether your design was crafted in Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or by a professional stationery designer, we print it on premium paper stocks with the same care and craftsmanship we bring to our own collections. If you’re still exploring styles, you can browse our wedding invitation designs before committing to print. Choose from digital print, letterpress wedding invitations, flat foil wedding invitations, foil stamp, embossing, and more, all applied to your finished artwork with precision and attention to detail. Unlike most online printers that limit you to their own templates, Paperlust lets you bring genuinely premium print finishes to artwork you already own and love. Your design, your vision, finished to a standard that looks exactly as you imagined it would.

Print Methods Available for Your Design

Choosing the right print method is one of the most important decisions for your invitations. Here is what is available when you print your own design with Paperlust:

Digital Print: Full-color printing with photographic detail and no color limitations. The most affordable and fastest turnaround option, digital print suits complex artwork, watercolors, gradients, and photographic designs. Available on matte, linen, metallic, premium, kraft, blush, and cotton paper stocks.

Letterpress: A centuries-old technique that presses your design into thick cotton paper, creating a tactile debossed impression. Letterpress suits clean, typographic designs with limited spot colors and works on 300gsm or 600gsm Wild Cotton stock. It is quality you can feel with your fingertips.

Flat Foil: Metallic foil (gold, silver, rose gold, copper, and more) applied directly to your card without a custom die. Flat foil has no deboss impression but delivers a stunning mirror-bright finish. It is faster and more affordable than foil stamping, with a minimum order of just 10. Available on 380gsm Premium paper and color stock.

Foil Stamp: The traditional foil stamping process, where a custom die is created for your design and metallic foil is pressed into the card with heat and pressure. Foil stamp leaves a tactile deboss impression alongside the metallic finish, for the most luxurious result. Minimum order 50. Available in gold, silver, rose gold, copper, and 11 additional colors including holographic.

White Ink: White ink is applied as a fifth color in-line with the CMYK printing process. It is ideal for designs on dark or colored card stocks, producing crisp, high-contrast results. Available on kraft, vellum, and a range of colored stocks including black, navy, cobalt, and burgundy. Note: white ink cannot be applied on blush paper.

Embossing: A new print technique now available at Paperlust. Embossing uses a custom die and controlled pressure to raise design elements from the surface of the card, creating a sculptural 3D relief. Unlike letterpress, which presses the design into the paper, embossing pushes it upward - the result is a finish that catches light and invites guests to run a finger across the surface. Embossing works beautifully as “blind emboss” (no ink, pure texture) for monograms, botanical borders, and elegant typographic accents, or combined with foil or digital print for layered, multi-finish designs. It is one of the most tactile and distinguished finishes available for wedding stationery.

Print on Wood: Print your design on real wood veneer sheets, thin enough to mail as a flat invitation but distinctive enough to keep as a keepsake. A genuinely unique option that suits rustic, nature-inspired, and unforgettable wedding themes.

Metallic Ink: A digital metallic print process using dry-toner metallic pigment applied at the fifth imaging station. The result is a subtle, sophisticated shimmer across your design, more affordable than foil stamping and suited to designs with metallic details throughout. Available on matte, linen, and 380gsm premium paper.

Paper Choices: Your paper stock is as important as your print method. Paperlust offers Wild Cotton (300gsm and 600gsm), vellum, kraft, blush, matte, linen, premium, and color stocks in a range of shades. Not sure which combination works for your design? Order a $5.00 sample pack to feel the difference before you commit.

Who Uses Paperlust's Wedding Invitation Printing Service?

Our invitation printing service suits a wide range of customers. Couples who worked with a stationery designer and simply need a quality printer to bring the artwork to life. Graphic designers and illustrators fulfilling print orders for their own clients. Couples who designed their invitations themselves in Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or Photoshop and want a result far beyond what a home printer can deliver. Wedding planners who manage stationery for multiple clients and need a reliable printing partner, order after order. Whoever you are, the process is straightforward: submit your artwork, approve your proof, and receive beautifully printed invitations.

What Files Do You Need to Supply?

For the best result, submit a print-ready PDF with 3mm bleed on all sides, a minimum resolution of 300dpi at final print size, and CMYK color mode. We also accept Adobe Illustrator (AI), EPS, and PSD files, with all fonts embedded or outlined before sending.

For foil and letterpress printing, single-color vector artwork in AI or EPS format is required. These methods work with precise spot color artwork rather than full-color files, so a clean vector file is essential to a quality result.

If your file is not quite print-ready, our design team can prepare it for you for a fee. If you’d prefer to refine or completely rework your design before printing, you can explore our custom design service] to create a polished, print-ready result. Let us know when you submit your request and we will advise on what adjustments are needed.

Not sure which paper stock or print finish suits your design? A $5.00 sample pack lets you see and feel the options before you place your full order. Highly recommended if you are considering foil or letterpress for the first time.

FAQ

Do you offer wedding invitation printing for my own design?

Yes. Paperlust's print-my-own-design service is built specifically for couples and designers who have finished artwork ready to print. Submit your design via the form on this page, receive a quote based on your specifications, then approve your designer proof before we go to press. The service supports digital print, letterpress, flat foil, and foil stamp on premium paper stocks, so you have full flexibility on finish regardless of your design style.

What print methods are available for custom designs?

Digital print, letterpress, flat foil, foil stamp, embossing, white ink, print on wood, and metallic ink. Flat foil and foil stamp are two distinct products: flat foil requires no custom die and starts at 10 units minimum, while foil stamp uses a custom die to create a tactile deboss impression and requires a minimum of 50 units. Digital print suits full-color photographic artwork. Letterpress creates a debossed impression on thick cotton paper. White ink works on dark and colored stocks. Print on wood creates a standout keepsake invitation. Not sure which method suits your design? Order a $5 sample pack to experience the finishes firsthand.

How long does wedding invitation printing take?

You will receive your designer proof within 1-2 business days of submitting your artwork. Once approved, with up to 2 revision rounds included at no extra cost, standard production and shipping time applies based on your chosen print method and destination. If you are working to a tight deadline, a 24-hour rush print option is available for an additional fee. Contact us at the time of your order to confirm availability.

What file format do I need to supply?

A print-ready PDF is the preferred format, supplied with 3mm bleed on all sides, 300dpi minimum resolution at final print size, and CMYK color mode. We also accept AI, EPS, and PSD files with fonts embedded or outlined. For foil and letterpress printing, single-color vector artwork in AI or EPS format is required, as these methods cannot process full-color or rasterized files. If your file needs adjustments to become print-ready, our design team can prepare it for a fee.

How many revision rounds are included?

Two revision rounds are included with every order. After you submit your artwork, a dedicated Paperlust design associate will review your file and create a digital proof showing exactly how your invitations will look when printed. You can request changes up to twice before we proceed to production, giving you confidence that the finished product will match your expectations.

Can I order a sample before placing a full print order?

Yes - two options are available at paperlust.co/sample-pack/. The $5 sample pack includes 7 printed designs across different print methods and paper stocks, so you can feel the difference between digital print, letterpress, and foil before committing. For a comprehensive look at every available paper stock, the $20 full swatch kit includes all paper options including our premium cotton and specialty stocks. Both are highly recommended if you are trying foil, letterpress, or embossing for the first time.
