About the designer. Chloe Flemming: Why the month of June? I started working professionally as a graphic designer my first year out of high school. I worked part time for a small company doing all of their branding and marketing collateral. At the same time I was studying my Cert 3 at a TAFE in regional NSW. Craving to learn more, I moved to Ballarat, VIC to study for my Bachelor, and worked for two different design firms over the course of the three years. Not long after I graduated, I scored an amazing job working for a fashion wholesaler in Geelong to create illustrations and textiles for women and children. I learnt a lot during this time, and it has helped me to develop my own style. In 2013 I started to develop my wedding stationery business in my off time. I took a calligraphy class through The School and had the wonderful Maybelle Imasa-Stukuls as my teacher. At this point I decided to name my business 'Warmheart Studio', to the suggestion of my partner Jarred. This worked well for a while, but I was also freelancing for more corporate clients and I needed a name that reflected all aspects of my business. After much deliberation I renamed the business to 'Month of June'. The month of June holds so many meanings for me. Firstly, it is the most popular month to have your wedding in the northern hemisphere, and the most popular month for Brides in the southern hemisphere to prepare. Secondly, its the month that sits perfectly between my sister and mines birthdays. She has been such an amazing sister and friend my whole life, and one day I hope to work with her (*hint hint Cass*) doing what we love, Graphic Design.
